Twice a year, about twenty minutes
Rinse the louvers and gutters with a hose, wipe the frame with mild soap and water, and clear debris from the drainage channels. That is the routine.
What you never have to do
No staining, no sealing, no sanding, no termite treatment and no rot repair. Aluminum does not swell, split or feed insects, which is the core reason it outlives wood structures by decades.
Motorized systems
If your cover is motorized, exercise the louvers through a full open and close cycle monthly and keep the sensor lenses clean. Everything else is covered by the warranty.
